When a Crane Truck Is the Right Choice
Not every heavy delivery needs a separate mobile crane. When the load can be transported and lifted by the same vehicle, a HIAB lorry can provide a simpler way to manage the job. It is particularly useful when there is no suitable unloading equipment at the destination or when the item needs placing rather than simply dropping beside the truck.
PCS Transport & Lifting Services offers HIAB hire in Wakefield for heavy, awkward and specialist loads. Collection, transport and lifting can all be planned together, reducing the number of separate bookings needed.
Different Loads Need Different Approaches
The PCS DAF CF530 carries a Fassi F660 crane capable of lifting up to 16 tonnes at 3 metres and around 2.1 tonnes at 21 metres. This gives the vehicle a useful mix of strength and reach for jobs with very different requirements.
Cheese wedge ramps and a winch also provide alternative loading options. For certain machinery or equipment, using the ramps may be more practical than lifting the item directly with the crane.
Preparation Makes the Difference
A good HIAB job starts with accurate information. The weight and size of the load, access at both ends, the distance of the lift and any obstacles around the site can all affect how the work should be carried out.
PCS plans around those details and is available 24/7 where the job needs to fit around a particular delivery slot or site schedule. For Wakefield customers looking for a dependable transport and crane lifting service, combining everything within one vehicle can make the process much more straightforward.
Straightforward from Enquiry to Delivery
Customers deal directly with PCS rather than passing details between separate transport and lifting providers. That makes it easier to explain the load, send site information and confirm how the lift Crane Lifting Wakefield needs to work. For Wakefield projects where timings or access are important, keeping the job under one service can help the whole process run more smoothly.
